Overview

Just announced!

Ghost Hounds have never sounded more alive. With a new album and a dynamic new frontman, the band expands beyond rock and blues into rootsy Americana, vibrant soul, and authentic country—pushing them into an exciting new chapter.
On Almost Home, Ghost Hounds introduce lead singer SAVNT, whose influences range from Sam Cooke, Prince, and Lenny Kravitz to Willie Nelson, Keith Urban, and Brooks & Dunn. His soulful delivery and storytelling approach make him a natural fit for the vivid songwriting of founder and guitarist Thomas Tull.
“The way Thomas writes, he builds characters,” SAVNT says. “I approach songs almost like an actor—stepping into the emotions of the person in the story.”
That emotional depth is front and center on “Before You Leave,” a standout duet with Grammy-winning country star Lainey Wilson. Blending soul and country, their voices create a powerful portrait of heartbreak. The collaboration felt effortless in the studio, reinforcing the shared roots that connect their styles.
SAVNT’s journey with the band has been equally remarkable—going from small gigs to opening for the Rolling Stones within months. “I thought, ‘What is my life?’” he recalls. Bandmate Kristin Weber praises his work ethic and presence, noting his ability to quickly master a full set and make each song his own.
While not a concept album, Almost Home carries a clear emotional arc centered on relationships. The album moves from the fiery energy of “She Runs Hot” to the longing of “Past the Point of Rescue,” and the grounded warmth of “House a Home.” It all culminates in “Long Ride Home,” featuring harmonies from Patty Griffin, capturing the feeling of returning to a place of comfort—both familiar and uncertain.
The band—rounded out by Joe Munroe (keys), Bennett Miller (bass), Sydney Driver (drums), and Weber (fiddle)—continues to build on a strong foundation established through earlier releases like Roses Are Black and A Little Calamity. Along the way, they’ve shared stages with icons including The Rolling Stones, Guns N’ Roses, ZZ Top, Bob Seger, and Garth Brooks.
“We wanted this record to feel like a culmination of everything we are,” says guitarist Tyler Chiarelli. “At the center is SAVNT, whose voice brings it all together across genres.”
That genre-blending spirit defines Ghost Hounds. “We don’t care about rules,” SAVNT says. “Whether it’s country, soul, blues, or rock—it’s all part of who we are.”
With Almost Home, Ghost Hounds deliver their most complete and compelling work yet—driven by powerful storytelling, rich musical influences, and a shared mission to connect with audiences wherever the music leads.
