Overview
Actor Tom Frye delivers a brilliant portrayal of the wealth-obsessed writer, Truman Capote. Despite its doleful tales of depression and alcoholism, the one-man show is often hilarious, as when Frye breaks into an inspired imitation of Toulouse Lautrec at a disco. “Frye is a sweetly wistful Capote, a fey funny man trapped in the holiday loneliness of his brightly decorated apartment, tap dancing as fast as he can to keep the darkness at bay.” – St. Petersburg Times. Frye holds a BA in Theatre and MA in Acting from Wichita State University, directed at University of Kansas, and has appeared in countless nationally touring and regional theatre productions.
