It’s not looking good for the star-crossed lovers, kept apart because of duty and rank. But a mysterious woman called Little Buttercup has the power to change it all in an instant … Can love overcome class barriers?

Gilbert & Sullivan’s first international sensation, HMS Pinafore is a rollicking commentary on social class, filled with toe-tapping melodies and a triple-wedding ending you have to see to believe. Opera Kansas transports the British Navy to the Kansas prairie in our re-imagined production featuring the iconic Midwestern Windwagons – all-aboard, this story is just as relevant as it was at its premiere in 1878!
